Hai Zhu

Welcome

I am a Flatiron Research Fellow in the Center for Computational Mathematics. My mentor is Professor Shidong Jiang. I obtained my PhD in Applied & Interdisciplinary Mathematics at the University of Michigan in 2021, advised by Professor Shravan Veerapaneni and Professor Eric Johnsen . Then I did a one-year Postdoc with Professor Shravan Veerapaneni in the math department at the University of Michigan from 2021 to 2022.

I am interested in numerical analysis and scientific computing in general. Specifically, I develop fast algorithms for computational fluid dynamics and PDE constrained optimization problems using integral equation methods.
